Adding and Using Locations
Save your home studio, guest spots, and convention venues.
-
- Go to Settings
- Find the Locations section
- Click Add Location
- Fill in the details:
- Name – A friendly name like "Home Studio" or "Guest Spot - London"
- Address – The full address
- Timezone – The timezone for this location
- Click Save
You can also create a new location when creating an appointment – look for the "Create new" option in the location selector.
-
Setting a default location means new appointments will automatically use this address.
- Go to Settings > Locations
- Find the location you want as your default
- Click Set as Default or toggle the default option
- The location is now marked as your default
What happens with a default:
- New appointments pre-select this location automatically
- You can still choose a different location for any appointment
- Only one location can be default at a time
-
When creating or editing an appointment:
- Find the Location field
- Click to open the location selector
- Choose from your saved locations
- The address and timezone fill in automatically
You can also type a custom address if you're working somewhere that isn't saved yet.
Timezones
Keep your schedule straight when you travel.
-
Each saved location stores its own timezone. When you schedule an appointment at a location, the event inherits that timezone automatically.
Example:
- Your home studio is set to "Europe/London"
- You add a guest spot in New York set to "America/New_York"
- When you create an appointment at the New York location, times are shown in Eastern time
- Calendar sync shows the correct time in both your local view and the event details
Why this matters:
- No more manually converting times for guest spots
- Clients receive appointment times in the correct timezone
- Your calendar shows events at the right time regardless of where you're working
-
Your personal display settings are separate from location timezones.
- Location timezone: Determines what time the appointment is scheduled for that venue
- Display timezone: How times appear to you in the app (set in Settings > Display)
When you travel, you can either:
- Keep your display timezone the same – see all times in your home timezone
- Update your display timezone – see times in local time wherever you are
Either way, appointments scheduled at specific locations will happen at the correct time for that location.
Studio Locations
Personal and studio locations, kept separate.
-
Yes. When you're connected to a studio, you can access their shared locations.
In the location selector, you'll see:
- Your locations – Personal locations you've created
- Studio locations – Shared locations from any studio you're part of
Studio locations are managed by the studio owner. You can use them but not edit them.
-
Yes. Personal locations belong to you, not the studio.
- Your personal locations stay with your account
- Studio locations become inaccessible when you leave that studio
- Any appointments already created with studio locations keep their address – it just becomes a regular address rather than a linked location
